Senior Manager, New Product Research

Major Responsibilities：

• Manage frond end innovation/product development efforts in line with BCC China growth strategy by working with commercial/marketing team to help set and refine the strategy for BCC China innovation pipeline.
• Identify, create and champion new product opportunities and product improvements, which add value to the BCC innovation pipeline through internal research and the exploitation of external opportunities.
• Manage multiple programs/projects requiring collaboration with a highly matrixed group of internal and external personnel to ensure project steering to exceed timelines and cost parameters, including project KPIs.
• Evaluate all projects and opportunities with a high degree of scientific rigor and ensure the highest standards are followed.
• Optimize product claims for therapeutic effectiveness and suitability in conjunction with Medical and Regulatory teams.
• Maintain commercial and competitive awareness to refine strategy and plans when required.
• Develop and monitor the IP position for new and existing projects and products.
• Identify and develop local 3rd-party R&D supplier network to support new product development efforts for BCC China.
• Work with cross functional teams (Marketing, Medical, Regulatory Affair and Manufacturing and Supply) to identify and evaluate new external technology/product opportunities to enhance China innovation pipeline.
• Develop and nurture comprehensive external networks of KOL and innovation sources.
• Balance pragmatic approach vs. pure scientific approach in best interests of the business

Requirement：

• PhD or MS degree from one of the following education backgrounds: pharmaceutical science/technology, pharmacology, physiology, biochemistry, pharmacy, chemistry.
• PhD with minimum 5 years or MS with minimum 10 years R&D experience preferably in the Pharmaceutical/OTC drug/Consumer Healthcare industry. Previous work experience in a multinational company in China and good knowledge of China SFDA regulations are preferred.
• Enthusiasm, dynamism, self-motivation and the willingness to challenge the science and the status quo and bring forward innovative solutions.
• Ability to interface with several diverse departments, to advice, guide and influence colleagues on scientific, professional and strategic matters in a supportive and encouraging fashion.
• Significant experience of partnering with internal and external collaborators and achieving results.The ability and stamina to handle many different issues at once, often working under the pressure of achieving agreed deadlines.
• Proven ability to complete projects on time and within budget.
