Retail Marketing Manager

Major Responsibilities:

  • Achievement of sales and market share target
  • Control of marketing and promotional expenditure within the allocated budget, leveraging resources to gain optimal ROI
  • Develop therapy area long term vision and commercial strategies
  • Development and preparation of 3-1 Plans and Forecasts for the assigned product portfolio, including details of marketing strategies, resources and sales projections, etc.
  • Design and development of therapy area marketing tactics and leadership of the implementation of these tactical programs
  • develop innovative key external experts (KEE) management and influencing plan
  • Manage Marketing Sales interfaces to ensure integration of marketing and sales-force activities
  • Assessment of sales performance and identification of variances to plan; recommendation and implementation of proposals that rectify or capitalize on current sales performance
  • stablishment of systems that collect, analysis and monitor market intelligence including competitors information
  • Design relevant market research programs
  • Identify market research needs to gain customer and patient insights for strategic decision making
  • Leadership of therapy area specific cross-functional team including Medical, Marketing, Regulatory, Legal/IPR and Government Affairs/Market Access that delivers competitive advantages and responds rapidly to the changing environment
  • In consultation with NPD and/or BD function, the development of objective commercial value appraisals of new product or business opportunities
  • In consultation with Market Access/Government Affairs function, the development of market access strategy and plan
  • Appointment, control and management of advertising agencies and market research companies
  • Supervise and guide the work of subordinates (usually will be Sr. Product Manager/Product Manager/Assistant Product Manager).
  • Performance management and appraisals for subordinates.
  • Lead and manage a brand management team and to develop the competency of the team through guidance, coaching and the implementation of appropriate training and development programs.
  • Preparation of presentations and background materials for regular commercial meetings, periodic financial updates, and business reviews by senior management
  • Ensure that all activities undertaken by the marketing team staff fully comply with the Company’s policies/standard, and the laws and regulations of China.
  • Full-fill other tasks assigned from superior

 

 

Requirement:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably in medicine , pharmacy; MBA is a plus
  • More than 7 years working experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, at least 5 years brand/ portfolio management experience, OTC or healthcare brand management preferred.
  • Good competency on market intelligence & customer insight
  • Solid strategic thinking for the brand building
  • Strong communication skill , and good interpersonal skill
  • Analytical thinking , creative , teamwork
  • High level of integrity
  • Willing to take frequent travels upon business needs
