Senior Manager/Manager, Medical Governance/Scientific Engagement

Major Responsibilities:

  • In line with the business interests of GSK China and TSKF, develop a LOC medical governance and scientific engagement strategy to achieve functional excellence and support for China business
  • Lead and execute LOC medical governance review for new and currently marketed healthcare products including wellness and oral care, and relevant research and promotional activities
  • Responsible for LOC implementation of global medical governance framework, scientific engagement policies and practices
  • Ensure medical review on all promotional activities/materials with high quality and ethical promotional messages
  • Lead the scientific engagement strategy to provide the value added, comprehensive and compelling medical supports to the commercial activities
  • Manage SE budgets, and play a core leadership role in medical supervision of HCP interactions, professional marketing and promotions, and medical sales activities
  • When required, develop relevant SOPs and ensure the full compliance
  • Develop high-quality relationships with KOLs in therapeutic areas of TSK&F interests
  • Play the key role in Crises Management team
  • Expert knowledge of therapeutic area providing medical input to product development and commercial launch plans
  • Interpretation of study data and results place into wider context and relevance to therapeutic area and innovative claims.
  • Working knowledge of GCP, local regulatory and ethical requirements for medical activities in order to meet business objectives.
  • Reviewing and providing input to core claims for launched products.
  • Proven experience reviewing launch-related materials such as consumer education programs and pharmacy/ professional programs.
  • Up to date with the scientific literature
  • Working with cross-functional departments as well as expert consultants and KOL’s as needed.
  • Representing Cx China and working with regional and category medical governance boards to develop and execute China Sales & Promotional Practice Guideline (S&PPG)

 

 

Requirement:

  • Minimum college medical education/MSc, but preferably PhD
  • Min. 3 years experience in pharmaceutical/Consumer Healthcare industry with at last 12 months people management responsibilities .Familiar with knowledge of Consumer Healthcare products and related disease area. Good Project planning and management skills, GCP(Good Clinical Practice), SOP(Standard Operating Procedure
  • Skilled computer capacity;
  • Fluent in written & spoken English, can skilled use specialized English carries on the language or the writing technological communication as well as the paper writing.
  • Competency: Good plan, organization and coordination communication ability

  • Complexity: ( Please describe the uncertainties and complexities need to be handled by this position)
  • Uncertainty:Certain products related medical evaluation, clinical trial concept development, application and documentation preparation, all these process need to collect comprehensive information firstly, then analyze.
  • Medical evaluation of product need consideration of updated status of related area, such as new theory and competitors, so re-evaluation needed.
  • Writing study protocol not only need to meet the requirement of GSK central, but also meet requirement of SFDA
  • Complexity for Communication(The most frequent and challenging communication. Internal & external)
  • Internal:Attend business meeting on behalf of Medical, communicate timely with GM, business managers/directors, head of R&D, RA, provide medical comment for new product, deep understanding clinical research background of new product, participating in making study strategy. Communicate timely with related Dept, understanding needs, provide medical support to marketing and sales, prepare post approval clinical study documentation, support training Dept for updating of training materials
  • External:Close relationship with KOLs in related therapeutic area, get updated disease area and therapeutic area information, to make sure TSK&F delivered message correct and consistent with strategy. Communicate with clinical research investigators, ensure the clinical trial protocol scientific and practical.
