Marcom Manager

Responsibility:

  • The Marcomms manager key tasks will be to undertake and support general CMA HO marcomms business (50%), and to take full ownership for the on-going development and successful implementation of countrywide loyalty program(s) (50%), with the objective to develop a customer database and loyalty programme(s) that CMA can communicate with/through, understand shoppers/shopping trends, build trust and loyalty. The loyalty programs will be required to generate revenues and directly contribute to the bottom-line.

Background:

  • University education preferred
  • Aged 30+, male / female
  • Industry/employment background:
    • International 4A agency or reputable advertising (or similar) agency
    • MNC and/or property related marcomms or corpcomms dept
  • Minimum 8 years work experience, with stability with quality employer(s). A minimum 3 years experience at manager level with the responsibility of managing staff and/or a (project) team
  • Preferably worked or travelled overseas
  • Key proven personal and business management attributes
    • Strong ability to plan, manage and execute major business projects; including strategy, risk, budgets, processes, hands-on implementation. To undertake tasks with urgency and within agreed timelines
    • Ability to work in a team and to manage teams, both directly and remote. To be an effective team leader.
    • Strong business analysis skills, with the ability to communicator; proven ability to present ideas, process challenges and present solutions in a clear and articulate manner
    • Take initiatives, ownership and responsibility for own and team work
    • Proven understanding of scalability, pilot-plan/incubation management, and strategic partnering to obtain added-value and service value-add
    • Good computer and business/office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint etc

General Skills

  • Management experience in 1 or more of the following industries
    • Advertising
    • Event management
    • Public relations
    • Corporate communications
    • General marcom

Specific Skills

  • Proven ability to develop, manage and successful deliver large scale B2C loyalty programmes. Highly desirable would be within the retail mall category or other B2C categories that have similar business demands, i.e. airlines, banks, retail.
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights that influence loyalty, preferably retail loyalty. He/she should have a well defined opinion of the industry and major industry players. He/she will have a clear opinion of where the industry is going and what are the challenges
  • Have a good working knowledge and understand the regulatory and government challenges surrounding key/major loyalty programs in China

Other Considerations

  • The candidate should be a member of a number of loyalty programmes, and be able to talk authoratively on the values of the programmes. 
  • Willing to travel and to spend period of time away from home
