Production Procurement Cluster Commodity Team Manager

Major Responsibilities：

• Work with sites in the cluster (Site Procurement Leads and Local Commodity Buyers) to ensure that spend that can be managed within the cluster is done so at that level
• Lead the development, management and implementation of comprehensive strategies in alignment with GSK and Procurement to deliver agreed savings targets and other benefits that significantly impact GSK financial results.
• Lead, develop and manage immediate commodity teams, with staff potentially based at several regional hubs or clusters.
• Lead, develop and manage the supply base for external GMS supply chain providing supply of high quality and competitively priced materials and services, to meet GSK requirements.
• Responsible for supply of a global category
• Develop supply strategies that deliver business requirements across assurance of supply, quality, regulatory, service, cost and inovation.
• Lead strategic relationships with critical suppliers providing secure and cost effective sources for relevant commodities.
• Lead cross functional sourcing group management teams with joint accountability for technical and quality performance
• Implement initiatives and programs to improve quality of bought-in goods and services and reduce lead times.
• Ensure security of supply and risk management.
• Develop operational excellence strategy for supply base employing lean and sigma approach including PUCC and DFM.
• Deliver excellence in customer service.
• Ensure regulatory compliance.
• Provide best in class cost
• Proactive use of E-Pass tools where appropriate
• Coach and mentor to maximise team and individual performance
• Represent the category on relevant strategy development and supply chain planning forums
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders; agree RACIs and business requirements
• Sharing of best practice across category team and Procurement Shared Service
• Continuous improvement of process and performance within category team and related supply base
• Proactively promotes low cost sourcing and outsourcing

Requirement：

• Lead the transition to the new shared services model within the team and ensure clear roles and accountabilities are established and ways of working are embedded in new organization.
• Lead, manage, coach and develop to create a high performing team.
• Create, establish and maintain optimum supplier relationships to meet business targets.
• Protect GSK revenue streams by managing supply security through robust risk management process.
• Achieve lowest sustainable cost on goods and services.
• Ensure supplier contracts provide protection for GSK intellectual property as well as developing new intellectual property for GSK.
• Ensure supplier compliance with GSK safety, health, human rights, environmental and quality requirements.
• Responsible for major supply base issue resolution e.g. recalls, sudden cessation of supply
• Responsible for resolving major legal disputes e.g. compensation claims, IP infringement
