Head of External Alliance and Portfolio Management

Major Responsibilities：

• Accountable to work closely with every functional and project leader to track portfolio progress, define critical paths and ensure that project leaders stay focused on their critical path
• Accountable to support individual project planning and the communication, coordination and allocation of internal and external resource usage across the portfolio to maximize chances of achieving site deliverables
• Accountable to communicate an up-to-date snapshot of the portfolio and progress toward site deliverables to both local and global stakeholders
• Accountable to track, manage, assess, and -- in certain cases -- drive external alliances with contract research organizations, academia, and biotech companies in support of portfolio delivery and sustainability
• May lead 1-2 associates supporting portfolio and alliance management

Requirement：

• Ph.D. in drug discovery-related discipline and/or M.B.A. with scientific training
• 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical R&D
• Significant experience as a preclinical project leader or manager leading a cross-functional team
• Experienced in the initiation and management of CRO and academic alliances
• General knowledge of all core pharma R&D disciplines (e.g. medicinal chemistry, assay technology, DMPK, CMC), preferably with deep knowledge in at least one area
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally and frame/make decisions from a portfolio perspective
• Fluency in English mandatory; fluency in Mandarin preferred
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills
