Scientific Communication Mgr

Major Responsibilities:

  • Development of communication/publication strategies / plans and key scientific messages to ensure strategic alignment with regards to scientific communication.
  • Ensure awareness of key published data / articles from Novartis Brands/compounds & competitors.
  • Delivery of quality medical education materials for external audience. Responsible for the scientific content of external meetings. Drive CME activities (TBD) Internal Medical education content development and training (training of medical advisors, MSLs..PMs etc.)
  • Establish strong working relationships with key stakeholders internally (brand teams, Local Operating Companies) and externally (eg, consultants, advisors, medical thought leaders, professional societies).
  • Provide strategic insight into scientific expert development activities
  • Identify and screen appropriate vendors, solicit, evaluate and approve proposals.
  • Manage all financial and contractual aspects of assigned projects, including vendor relationships (TBD).

 

 

Requirement:

  • Advanced scientific degree (PhD,PharmD,or MD)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A minimum of 5 years Oncology experience.
  • Proficient level of understanding in drug development process, pharmaceutical business, including R&D processes and objectives. 
  • Experience in driving the development of communication strategies / key scientific message platforms without supervision.
  • Broad experience in planning and executing advisory boards, symposia, medical education materials and scientific posters/abstracts.
  • Ability to provide strategic insight into scientific expert development activities, publication planning plus developing medical education materials and programs that support product launches in oncology.
  • Ability to write / edit scientific articles, posters and abstracts. Ability to align key messages with clinical studies and publications. - Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel around 20% of time.
