D2 Scientist Chemistry

Major Responsibilities：

• Build capability to assume program/project leadership roles or leadership of other matrix teams from internal and external beyond own discipline
• Effectively prioritizes experimental goals and strategies
• Be highly productive in designing and synthesising compounds in the laboratory
• Have a strong organic synthetic chemistry and developability understanding
• Be able to solve complex process development problems using a sound understanding of organic chemistry  knowledge and process chemistry experience
• Proactively incorporate cutting edge technology and synthetic/process chemistry to influence drug development directions
• Where appropriate, to be the point chemist for key project or programme activity
• Have an up to date knowledge of relevant scientific literature
• Demonstrated ability to supervise other chemists
• Accountable for experimental timelines in accordance with project objectives
• Consistently proposes and executes innovative experiments which positively influence program/project direction
• Consistently contributes to solving experimental problems of other program/project members
• Have a strong awareness and accountability for personal safety and where appropriate for the safety of direct/indirect reports

Requirement：

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry with >2 year pharmaceutical industry experience
• A broad and integrated knowledge of all aspects of process chemistry
