GA/RA Liaison, Director

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Building and fostering relationships with with state and local regulatory authorities, and key policymakers.
• Develops strategies and plans to engage with regulatory authorities.
• Working with the China area RA Director to develop the department’s legislative priorities and monitoring current legislation and government regulations.
• Liaison to influence a favorable regulatory policy making or approval.

Qualifications/Requirements: (Education / Experience / Competencies)

• A bachelor's degree of life science e.g. pharmaceutical or medical science, master's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge and experience of Chinese regulatory systems including relationships within SFDA
• Proven regulatory strategic thinking skills with a strong ability to interpret the local market place legislation
• At least 10 years regulatory or government affairs experience in pharmaceutical industry.
• A thorough understanding of regulatory legislative processes, proven track record of successful winning regulatory legislative lobbying and relationships with current key regulatory officials, agency heads and policymakers.
• Experience to help shape regulatory environment.
• Experience working with regulatory officials is preferred.
• Effective communication, influencing and negotiating skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills
• General understanding of the Chinese FMCG and OTC business environments
• Knowledge of international regulatory systems, in particular the EU and USA systems is preferred.
• Strong sense of integrity, ethics, commitment, diversity-awareness and highest professional standards.
