National Market Access Manager

Major Responsibilities

  • Develop market access and reimbursement strategies for assigned Bayer products
  • Responsible for developing market access plans (MAP) for assigned products
  • Lead reimbursement and market access cross-functional team to utilize all internal resources to assist building the MAP
  • Identify and incorporate leverage points to influence listing decisions
  • Identify, capture and share best practices within market access team
  • Identify and assess how to use both internal and external resources to speed up product listing
  • Execute/participate in internal processes for launch and marketed products (e.g. clinical development plan, product labeling, KOL development, forecasting, brand planning) to ensure that market access needs are incorporated into product/ business strategies to optimize revenue and profit. This would also include assessment and recommendation for new business/ product opportunities champion on pricing recommendationsprovide analysis into drug listing decisions
  • Participate in global-local interactions to ensure China’s needs are reflected in Global planning and to ensure International market access decisions do not have negative impacts on China reimbursement.
  • Function as local reimbursement expert on local/regional/global cross-functional teams (i.e. Global Health Economic Teams and Market Access Strategy Teams).  Responsible for influencing regional/global strategy and providing guidance on current China reimbursement requirements.
  • Create, manage and update reimbursement knowledge database and platform.  This database will capture learning and recommendations from all market access and reimbursement projects.  Furthermore, this database will also maintain up-to-date market access intelligence/ knowledge both national and provincial.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining relationships with influential market access KOLs, and have close collaboration with Central Marketing, Regional Business, Medical, and Government Affairs.
  • Responsible for understanding all reimbursement guidelines and timelines both national and provincial, and to ensure that these guidelines are followed and optimized.ensure that appropriate scientific and health economic information is prepared and submitted according to the guidelinesensure that all submissions are delivered in a timely fashion, and flag any risks or opportunities for better or faster listings.

 

 

Requirement

  • 5+ years health care industry experience including 1-2 years experiences within market access or equivalent
  • Excellent understanding of the pharmaceutical sector with an emphasis on internal processes (marketing, regulatory, clinical, reimbursement) linked to understanding of the external market access/reimbursement environment
  • High degree of initiative and sense of urgency, results-oriented
  • High proficiency in analytical skill, database management and Excel competency, or Strong knowledge/ insight  into National/ provincial reimbursement system
  • Advanced knowledge of health economic and outcomes research methodology and principles is beneficial.
  • Good medical/ product  knowledge especially in Bayer’s focused therapeutic areas
  • Good experience in project management skill
  • Fluent in both written and oral English and Chinese
