Major Responsibilities

• Provides direction and leadership relative to brand medical management
• Develops and executes global medical brand plan
• Serves as member in global product teams (i.e. development, medical, commercial, co-development/co-marketing partners) and provides medical expertise and support
• Manages budget within area of responsibility
• Ensures medical comprehensiveness, accuracy and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements of globally used material.
• Provides medical review and approval of global promotional material.
• Develops and implements the global medical communication strategies and activities Global Publication Strategy
• Development and implementation of global publication plan. Ensures that publications are delivered according to good publication practice and all relevant Bayer requirements.
• Global Medical Education Strategy
• Directs the planning, development and implementation of scientific educational programs (e.g. congress symposia, stand-alone symposia).
• Evaluates and approves CME program support.
• Directs the development and execution of global medical affairs studies, provides strategic guidance to regional and country medical affairs groups for local and regional medical affairs studies to ensure alignment to global medical strategy and provides global review of investigator sponsored study (ISS) proposals.
• Interacts with key opinion leaders and medical organizations, plans and facilitates programs for key opinion leaders, including advisory board and consultant meetings

Requirement

• Medical Doctor
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry (preferably in Medical Affairs or related functions)
• Preferably background knowledge of disease and therapeutic area
• Thorough understanding of global regulations and guidelines
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
