Finance Manager

Responsibilities：

• Manage financial management activities for the operating unit in support of delivering financial targets, business strategies and maintaining strong financial governance
• Provide expert advice and analytical support to commercial and support functions (customer groups) by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks
• Provide timely, & valuable business insight information by utilizing commercial analytics and financial analysis to support business decision and business growth, and co-ordinate with the customer groups for achievement of organisational objectives
• Provide expert advice and financial analysis on ad hoc initiatives such as tender and access pricing, new product introduction, new sales channels etc
• Review monthly reports, actuals, budgets, plans and forecasts and provide commentary on key variances/business drivers and any actions required
• Work closely with and proactively support Area/Regional Finance to improve the awareness of controls and compliance initiatives in China to ensure alignment and delivery of expectations
• Communicate with customer groups on financial aspects of business decisions and resource allocations, and be point of contact for business colleagues for financial issues by representing Finance and being an ambassador for the Finance function
• Work collaboratively with Finance peers in and above country to ensure continuous improvement and transformation of Finance business Partnering to provide best in class, customer focused, cost effective service, & deliver insightful information and advice to our business partners
• Interactions with other business functions to enhance their business partnering skills & capabilities
• Adopt a flexible approach to analysis and address ad-hoc requests
• Comply with GSK corporate policies and adopt GSK Finance initiatives and ways of working
• Manage financial Performance delivery of the business Unit(s), providing advice on investment opportunities and cost management activities
• Support initiatives to improve Cash Conversion and other Working Capital Targets
• Ensure that Business Unit Balance Sheet accounts are well managed and fully reconciled

Required：

• Degree qualified in Accounting or Finance
• Qualified CPA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA or equivalent with at least 10 years PQE
• Advanced numeracy, accuracy & excellent attention to detail
• Advanced Excel and other Microsoft Office skills
• Strong knowledge of accounting, budgeting and forecasting principles
• Ability to successfully analyse large volumes of data
• Proven ability to work under pressure against tight and changing dead-lines and prioritize work and deliver
• Ability to coordinate several activities at once, quickly analyze and resolve specific problems
• Ability to work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal guidance
• Strong analytical skills and experience
• Ability to effectively use negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Preference to work collaboratively across the China Hong Kong Finance Organisation
• Strong and effective communication skills with both Finance Peers and non-Finance Staff
