Warranty Project Manager

Overall Purpose:

• Provides management and leadership to work teams for the successful delivery of strategic business projects or product introductions by gathering necessary resources, establishing priorities and delivering outcomes that are focused on business growth, products, and/or improving customer satisfaction or channel partner development.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

• Set up and manage the centralized warranty processing group in TEDA
• Oversee the implementation of the SAP warranty system throughout China
• Leads work teams to gather necessary resources and establish priorities in support of strategic business initiatives or product introductions.
• Identifies the project deliverable, directs the design of the project plan, and leads the execution of the plan.
• Ensures projects are developed with realistic outcomes, business objectives and customer satisfaction targets.
• Determines and secures resources to assure successful completion of a project.
• Monitors ongoing project/program status and maintains communications with business unit leadership and affected stakeholders.

Technical Skills & Knowledge:

• Broad based business, sales and marketing skills. - Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.
•  Knowledge of dealers and other channels. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
• Skill in project management.
• Skill in interpersonal communications, negotiation, and conflict resolution. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
• Knowledge of all business processes and how these processes are linked. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.

Education:

• Degree in an Engineering/Technology/Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. - University Degree (4 years or equivalent)

Relevant Work Experiences:

• Cross functional work experience(s) in multiple major areas such as: accounting, product engineering, quality, manufacturing operations, warehousing and/or distribution, production employee supervision, supply management, marketing, human resources, industrial engineering, etc. - Cross functional work experience(s) in two major areas such as: Quality, Manufacturing Operations, Supply Management, Marketing, etc.
• Project management experience. - Complex Project, consists of some or all of the following criteria: 6 to 12 persons on the project team; 3 to 6 disciplines involved; multiple facilities within Division are involved; scope in dollars is $500,000 to $5,000,000 and is determined on budget, revenues generated, savings, etc.
• Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience. - 1 - 3 years
• Internal or external industry specific experience in relevant discipline. - 1 - 3 years
