Supply Base Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This position is principally responsible for the core products of  Lubricants and Coolants,Batteries, Hose and Fittingsfocusing on supply management strategy alignment and deployment for the Region 1 area covered by Asia-Pacificand Africa. Additionally, this position functions as a regional representative for all JDM and All Makes initiatives in coordination with local team stakeholders.
• Responsible to lead Asia-Pacific & Africa (Region 1) supply management efforts for operational and tactical product delivery (PDP), order fulfillment (OFP) and customer support (CSP)management;
• Responsible for supplier contract negotiations, terms and conditions and long term agreements.
• Coordinates with the product engineering group and marketing groups to ensure the correct specified product is supplied in accordance with customer and performance requirements.
• Align and follow the enterprise strategies as lead by the WW Managers from JDM and All Makes.

Required Skills, Knowledge, & Relevant Work Experience:

•  3 or more years of Supply Management or Operations Experience, 1 to 3 years of parts organization experience or supporting Parts through Dealer, Logistics or Strategic Business Unit (SBU) responsibilities.
• This position will interact with many areas to include dealers, suppliers, marketing, operations and accounting. The candidate should have a very good understanding of the Order Fulfillment Processes, to include Logistics, INCOTERMS, Purchasing tools and methods.
• Relating to the supply management and business emphasis he/she should have a good acumen to conduct Contract Management activities, Negotiations (costs, agreements, etc.), as well as Decision Focus / Decision Analysis methods
•  From a leadership perspective the candidate must possess a demonstrated history of being a results oriented, self starter who can work successfully within a teamwork construct.
•  Must be technically proficient to gather appropriate inputs, conduct a thorough project business case and analysis, and move steadily through execution and implementation phases.
• Candidate must possess capability to clearly develop and communicate facts and actions for the benefit of executive presentations, summaries and recommended courses of actions
•  Microsoft Office tool proficiencies must include Word, Excel and PowerPoint at a minimum.
•  Candidate must have strong communication skills with the English and Chinese languages.
