Project Manager Logistics Service Parts

MAJOR PURPOSE :
Based on analysis on current logistics processes, including transportation, warehousing, packaging, and supported system etc of service parts business, initiates and successfully deliver the projects. Successfully manages the project through utilizing and providing project management expertise to determine work assignments involving the work team, logistics providers, outside suppliers and factory/marketing units. Through successful project management ensures the service parts distribution and logistics activities aligned with the service parts business goals, especially on service parts distribution strategy.
 

MAJOR DUTIES :
Description of the major duties performed in this job.
• Analyze the gaps between the current service parts distribution and logistics activities and business goals and strategy.
• Initiate the projects accordingly to fix the gaps mentioned above
• Manages projects focused through using the specific tools required on improving the acquire service parts logistics processes.
• Monitors ongoing project status and maintains communication with business partners or stakeholders regarding the project status. Majority of communications focused within project team.
• Determines resources needed to assure successful completion of projects and secures resources from others (project leader, division leader, etc.). Coaches and develops team members.
• Assists with global distribution strategy, such as footprint strategy, system application etc.
• Provides continuous process improvements for assigned processes.
• Establishes and monitors metrics relative to the project(s) and communicates to stakeholders.
