Market Research Manager

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinates the efforts of monitoring industry trends, external factors, market share, and sales data to help  identify gaps and business opportunities.
  •  Conducts Customer Value Analysis(CVA) for major products in China and provides input to various areas like Pricing, Product Marketing
  •  Conducts CSI and DSI following global CSI/DSI format and communicate to all stakeholders the CSI/DSI results
  •  Conducts advanced analytics to provide input for long term forecast as well as short term forecast
  •  Regularly provides China Ag news to all stake holders
  •  Coordinates with Region on Brand Equity Index survey, makes sure that the country specific needs are communicated to the Region and Enterprise
  •  Initiates and coordinates market studies on various products in a variety of markets.
  •  Presents the analysis of feedback to the business teams.
  •  Coordinates the collection of the analysis of market/channel feedback to identify customer needs.
  • Leads the segmentation survey
  •  Manages and coaches research professionals


Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, economics and trend forecasting. - Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the knowledge.
  •  Familiarity with analysis methods - Has an expert understanding of the principles, can apply the information to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications, and provide expert support for other practitioners.
  •  Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office plus intranet and internet functions. - Has an expert understanding of the principles, can apply the information to complex situations, solve complex problems, conduct research/break new ground, develop new applications,and provide expert support for other practitioners.
  •  Understanding of market segmentation and retail distribution systems. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
  • Competitive market knowledge. - Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach others.
  •  Skill in planning and organizing.
  •  Research Firm background is preferred
