Regional Leadership Development Manager

MAJOR PURPOSE:

  • Manages leadership development activities for the region including succession planning and talent development. Manages the Leadership Training programs to meet strategic ambition goals and growth.

MAJOR DUTIES:

1.Description of the major duties performed in this job.

  •  Leads the China deployment of a newly established leadership assessment and development process
  •  Facilitates the talent review process, which includes key talent, working closely with the Division HR Directors and process owners of talent and leadership development. 
  • Oversees leadership training activities for key talent within the region. Consolidates training needs and collaborates with Enterprise Leadership Development on delivery options. May be certified to deliver company training programs.
  • Coordinates the implementation and assures the integration of systems used in Succession Planning and Talent Review with other key HR processes such as Talent Profile, Career Development, Employee Development, Global Performance Management and Leadership training.
  •  Maintains talent inventory records, tracking and reviewing the progress of identified leaders within the region.
  •  Provides input/recommendations for the HR Strategic Plan relative to leadership development and development initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1.Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  •  Knowledge of established and pioneering leadership development initiatives and activities (assessment centers, action learning teams, mentor programs, etc)
  •  Knowledge of Learning and Development process including areas such as instructional skills, presentation skills, needs assessments, adult learning theory, curriculum development and other such related knowledge and skills. May teach others.
  •  Skilled in investigating employee developmental needs, developing or obtaining appropriate curriculum or proposing learning opportunities and delivering or coordinating delivery of learning.
  •  Familiar with the operation and management of corporate training centers
  •  Knowledge of business and management principles in such areas as strategic planning, resource allocation, teamwork development, and leadership technique.

2.Education:

  • Required degree in an Education, Business/Management, or Human Resources discipline or equivalent experience.
  •  Preferred Graduate degree in similar areas

3.Relevant Work Experiences:

3-1 1.5-7 Years experience in the following areas -

  •  Developing and deploying China-wide Leadership Development Programs with demonstrated evidence of a successful implementation
  •  Implementing an enterprise initiative requiring employee and/or manager training.
  •  Training and development area involved in activities such as instruction, needs assessments, curriculum development, and other such related training and development work.

 3-2.Familiar with the following areas -

  • A broad background of business experience within or outside the Company.
  • Experience in Project management and business planning.
