Mgr Leadership Talent Dev and Learning

Major Responsibilities:

  • Manages the John Deere Learning process for the region to support business requirements in all units, divisions and functions ensuring alignment with corporate & division drivers, policies and strategies. Assesses and communicates effectiveness of the process to unit/country leadership teams based on performance metrics against defined goals.
  • Coaches leaders with developmental needs or questions and connects them with other resources as required. Identifies opportunities, recommends and accesses resources for coaching and mentoring.
  • Coaches managers on the early identification and ongoing development of high potential employees. Provides leadership development orientation to newly hired/transferred leaders.
  • Leads the deployment and sustained management of leadership development activities across the region, to include – Succession Planning process, Key Talent & Pipeline Talent processes, Early Identification of Potential Leaders project, Action Learning teams, Mentor Program, Developmental International Assignments, MBA/EMBA selection process.
  • Ensures assessment and subsequent required development of potential international assignees to prepare them for leadership positions outside their home country.
  • Provides organizational development process expertise for leadership team development. Facilitates talent reviews and succession planning consensus reviews. Guides analysis and communication of strategic workforce planning information.
  • Develops active networks with other regional counterparts to achieve accelerated, broad based development of key talent. Establishes relationship with formal education institutions in their region for post-graduate education needs of leaders.
  • Drives performance management process execution and provides direction and coaching to regional Performance Management Advisors. Advises regional management on the leadership development impact of employee survey results and steps to address the most important issues.
  • Member of Global Community of Practice.
